This new Z-Wave technology will allow for connectivity with other security devices using this radio protocol. This opens the door for advanced ecosystems and enhanced control for users, tenants, and property owners alike.

FireAvert in these new environments will deliver advanced notifications such as:

  • Enhanced access control - tenant is notified if they leave while the stove is on
  • Geofencing - notifications to tenant/property managers depending on their real locations
  • Stove on/off notifications - get notified if the stove is on for long periods of time
  • Smoke alarm monitoring - alerts if the alarm is sounding or if a shutoff event occurs

FireAvert’s Z-Wave product successfully completed its certification after more than a year of rigorous testing and validation. With this certification, FireAvert is excited to expand its capabilities and further enhance fire safety through advanced connected-home technology.

The FireAvert Z-Wave products will mirror the existing product lineup with Electric models (4-prong & 3-prong variants), a Gas model, and a 120v model for small appliances.

The goal of FireAvert + Z-Wave is to improve the connectivity with existing smart home ecosystems. This brings fire prevention to more homes, saving more lives by preventing the #1 cause of household fires.
