FireAvert Dashboard Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 3/1/2025
Last Updated: 7/6/26
1. Introduction
FireAvert ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information obtained through our website https://connect.fireavert.com ("Website"). By using our Website, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
The Service is used mainly by property owners, property managers, and their staff ("Account Users"). To provide fire- and water-safety monitoring, Account Users may also add information about the residents of the units they manage.
- If you are an Account User, this policy describes how we handle your information directly.
- If your information was added by a property manager (for example, as the resident of a monitored unit), we generally process it on their behalf to deliver the monitoring service. Questions about that data are usually best directed to your property manager, though you can also contact us using the details in Section 12.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When an account is created, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and a securely stored password. We also keep basic records such as your role and account activity.
Unit and resident information. Account Users may provide details about the units they manage, including unit address and — where they choose to — a resident's name, email, and phone number. This is used to route alerts and support the monitoring service.
Device and sensor data. The Service works with FireAvert safety devices (such as stove-shutoff units, smoke-alarm sensors, and leak sensors). We collect the events and status these devices report. For example, an alarm, a leak detection, a shutoff, or a device going offline along with related timestamps. This information helps us notify the right people and improve safety insights.
Communications. If you contact us or submit feedback through the Service, we keep the information you provide so we can respond.
Information collected automatically. Like most online services, we automatically collect certain technical information such as browser type, operating system, device information, and how you interact with the Service.
