This new auto-shutoff plug has truly been a blessing for our family. It’s for my mother-in-law, who recently turned 80 and lives independently in a two-bedroom patio home. She’s in great health and is still able to manage most of her daily activities on her own. bathing, dressing, and eating without assistance.
However, she suffers from Alzheimer’s, and one of our ongoing concerns has been her safety in the kitchen, especially the risk of leaving the stove on. That’s why this device has brought us such peace of mind. Knowing that there’s an automatic safeguard in place helps ensure her safety while also supporting her independence for as long as possible.
We’re incredibly grateful for this solution. It’s made a meaningful difference in all of our lives.
Great customer support!
I was having trouble getting the device to turn off my stove at first but their support team helped me realize I needed to have the burners on for the FireAvert to work. Once I turn my burner on, it cut power easily :)
Thanks!
So unattended cooking starts most residential fires because most people don't have smoke alarms in our kitchens. If this thing requires someone to install a smoke detector so it will work then why would anyone buy this thing? Once you put the smoke detector in the problem's kinda solved. Maybe the manufacturer wants to avoid liability. Which makes me avoid the product.
There is a dementia patient in the house and I wanted a safety device incase the stove got forgotten. I had a handyman install this device on our gas cook top, and put a smoke detector on the kitchen ceiling. If the smoke detector goes off it disables the cook top. Perfect! It is also easy to reset. The one fly in my ointment is that I bought the wrong smoke detector. I did not understand that there are two technologies used in smoke detectors, optical and another kind. The other kind is prone to going off for reasons other than smoke, like cleaning fumes or strong cooking odors, which may tend to occur in kitchens. I have now bought an optical smoke detector to cut down the false alarms.
So far the staff have been very helpful and we are waiting now for the final test ( inspection)
